Bright Future for SEND Music in Greater Essex
As a partner in this project, Charanga worked with teachers to design new digital resources that gave generalist teachers in particular, the confidence and skills to teach music. Developing the skills of the workforce to widen access to music learning in special schools was a key outcome of the project.
As a direct result of this work, over 12,500 schools and 17,000 teachers across the UK are now using these resources to provide music learning for children with SEND.
