Out now: Charanga’s new Scheme builder feature

Scheme grid

2022 looks set to be an exciting year as we extend the range of resources our Musical School programme provides.

In addition to its week-by-week Schemes of Work, Musical School now gives primary teachers the option of building their own bespoke Scheme using our new Scheme builder feature.

The tool also enables users to combine Charanga units with their own uploaded resources and documents to create a unique learning pathway for their school. Once published, your Scheme can be accessed by all teachers in your school.

While teachers will need to ensure all learning in their Scheme is progressive, Charanga’s CPD & Training team is on hand to advise you at every step.

Feedback welcome

Feedback and input from teachers will help us to understand how the Scheme builder feature is being used, and ways in which we can best improve it. Please email training@charanga.com if you’d like to share your views.

CPD & Training

Two training sessions focussing on the new Scheme builder feature will take place in April. Log in to find booking links for each webinar in the CPD & Training Centre. Depending upon where you are based, you may be invited to additional events co-organised with your local music hub or service.

In the meantime, a video in your Help section (under ‘My Workspace’) shows you how to use the new tool.

The Musical School programme

Drawing together the practical skills of singing and playing, listening, improvising and composing, Musical School offers specialists and generalist classroom teachers everything they need to lead high-quality music lessons that are fun and truly engaging.

The programme includes week-by-week curriculum Schemes; a vast library of songs, instrument courses and creative apps; support for hybrid, blended or home learning, assessment, special needs and more – all designed to help children develop a love, knowledge and respect for music in all its forms.
