Ongoing support for our music teaching community & partners

With the new term well underway, several exciting developments form part of our ongoing support for teachers, partners and students during the pandemic.

Our Adapted for COVID Scheme now includes seven more Units of Work for the autumn term. The range of resources provided, including new replacement and additional activities, ensure safe music-making can take place in line with the current guidance.

Teachers can also provide hybrid, blended and home learning for their students via Yumu, our online learning platform. During the pandemic, Yumu has supported close to one million children. More are being given access to the resource ahead of any potential deeper lockdown.

A fantastic Signed Songs collection, created by Samantha Harper, has also been added to the platform to support those working and learning in special needs and other settings. The collection is a great addition to our SEND/ASN suite. It can also be found in Charanga Sing as an additional way to communicate the song, and in the Adapted for COVID and standard Schemes.

New downloadable handouts have also been added to the wealth of content contained in our CPD & Training section. The handouts make for essential reading if you’re looking to find out more on a particular topic or musical activity. To benefit further, teachers can register for one of our live webinars or watch a recorded session.

Yet to explore the Charanga platform? Complimentary, 30-day trials are available here.

Secondary school teachers and workshop leaders might also like to explore VIP Studio Sessions. The award-winning programme gives young people the means to learn about and produce the types of music they know and love, supported by an online music studio and expert tutorials. Teachers are able to give feedback on a student’s work, which can also be appraised by VIP’s team of professional producers. More information and a free trial.
